Capitol Communicator and CommPRO Announce Strategic Union
I’m really excited to share some news that feels both energizing and long overdue. CommPRO and Capitol Communicator are coming together in a strategic union that brings two trusted media and events platforms together around shared values, complementary strengths and a common vision for the future of communications.
At its core, this is about growing thoughtfully. By combining our capabilities, talent and resources, we’ll be able to expand our reach, move faster on new ideas and deliver a broader set of solutions for communications professionals across PR, marketing, advertising, digital and media.
Capitol Communicator, based in Washington, D.C., has long been a go-to resource for the Mid-Atlantic communications community. Through its digital magazine, newsletters and the Mid-Atlantic MarCom Summit, it connects professionals with timely news, education, career insights, networking and a platform to showcase great work.
CommPRO was built more than 15 years ago as a home for the next generation of PR, IR and communications leaders. From thought leadership and original reporting to webinars, town halls and live conversations, our focus has always been on keeping communicators informed, connected and a step ahead of what’s next.
As Paul Duning, CEO and publisher of Capitol Communicator, put it, “The union will prioritize continuity for our clients while unlocking new opportunities through collaborative innovation. CommPRO’s integrity and passion are perfectly aligned with Capitol Communicator’s. Together, our combined reach will expand to more than 100,000 AdMarCom professionals worldwide.”
For me personally, this next chapter just makes sense. Our teams share a deep respect for the profession and for the people doing the work every day. We’ve admired each other for years, and now we get to build something bigger together.
Both Capitol Communicator and CommPRO will continue to operate under their existing brands. I’m grateful to Paul and his team, and I can’t wait to see where this takes us.
Stay tuned.
