Senpoint Partners Launches, Bringing Industry Veterans Together to Navigate Shareholder Activism

As shareholder activism grows more complex and technology reshapes how investors engage with public companies, a group of seasoned industry leaders has joined forces to launch Senpoint Partners, an independent, practitioner-led proxy solicitation and corporate governance advisory firm.

The new firm brings together four well-known veterans of the shareholder advisory business: Ron Knox, Ed McCarthy, Paul Schulman and Geoffrey Weinberg. Collectively, the founding partners have advised on some of the most significant shareholder activism campaigns, proxy contests and M&A transactions involving companies such as Disney, Procter & Gamble, AT&T, Kroger and Kenvue.

Senpoint enters the market at a particularly interesting time. Artificial intelligence, automated voting, changing proxy adviser influence and the growing importance of retail shareholders are creating new challenges for corporate boards, management teams and their advisers.

The firm's approach combines decades of hands-on experience with technology, stock surveillance and voting analysis to help companies better understand their shareholders, anticipate challenges and navigate critical corporate decisions.

Joining the leadership team is Sam Geoffroy, managing director and head of surveillance, who previously helped lead stock surveillance at MacKenzie Partners.

“We want to be the first call for companies or their advisors facing a difficult vote, challenging transaction or critical situation,” said Schulman.

For corporate communications and investor relations professionals, Senpoint's launch is another reminder of how closely shareholder engagement, corporate reputation and strategic communications are connected, particularly when companies face activist pressure or high-stakes transactions.
