As Women’s History Month draws to a close, it serves as a poignant reminder to contemplate not just the past, but also the future - both for yourself and for the women in your world. Today, more than ever, women are forging pathways into history, taking the helm of organizations, influencing climate policies, revitalizing institutions, and claiming victories on global stages like soccer championships. This momentum signals a transformative era where women's impact is reshaping societal narratives and propelling us towards a future of unprecedented possibilities.

Why not you?

We can all make history…in our own way. …. leaving our mark on our children, our family, our community, our organization, our country…even our planet.

If we wait for good things to happen to us, it can take a long time…or maybe never. When we take action, we make great things happen for ourselves and for others – and the organizations where we work.

Research has shown that organizations with more women in senior positions are more profitable, more socially responsible, and provide safer, higher-quality customer experiences — among many other benefits, according to the Harvard Business Review (April 6, 2021). Yet Women continue to be underrepresented in management positions.

So what action will you take to make history, inspire other women to make an impact, and create the life you want for yourself?

The answer is clear.  Invest in leadership development training for yourself and women in your organization.  It will create a major shift, make you a better leader and be known as a person who ‘gets things done’…a person who will make history and create one’s success.

Choose a leadership development program that understands women’s unique challenges, and provides the solutions for addressing these challenges.  There are two programs for women at The George Washington University – Center for Excellence in Public Leadership which do just that.
