Revry’s ‘Drag Latina’ Sets New Standard for Hispanic Programming, Breaking Records 

In what was a spectacular premiere night, Revry’s international drag competition series, ‘Drag Latina’ premiered with devices lighting up around the world showing the double episode night.

An outstanding million people tuned in from the US, Brazil, Mexico, and the UK – making it Revry’s most successful premiere yet! Launching its first episode on a Sunday night, records show mobile device usage was up by ten times its average with a social reach clocking in at 5M+ people. It’s no surprise to learn that many clubs, bars and households hosted viewing parties in Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, New York City, Dallas and Puerto Rico to celebrate the beginning of the series.

“We love to challenge the programming status quo and offer Drag Latina as a challenge to the notion that drag competitions should be restricted by geography, cultures and language,” said Chris Rodriguez, Chief Business Officer and co-founder of Revry. “At Revry ‘queer’ is a culture that transcends socio-economic status, race, language, and nationality, its inclusive of everyone.”

LGBTQ-first media company Revry released the Revry Original series, Drag Latina, a Spanish-language international drag competition with performers representing their identity, their culture and their country. The first and second episodes aired on October 16th across the world on all Revry channels. Data from the first episode shows that 60% of the viewers identified Spanish as their preferred language, although the show does include subtitles in English for non-Spanish speakers. The highly anticipated finale will air on November 20, 2022.

This unique drag series is hosted by Mexican singer and television actress Ninel Conde with  singer Fedro as a mentor and judge, will feature weekly on Samsung TV Plus, Vizio WatchFree+, Roku Channel, Rakuten TV, Xumo, and Freevee in Spanish and with subtitles for English viewers.In season one, the Drag Latina queens are Afrika Mendiola, Anika Leclere, Amalara Sofia, Chichi Fuera, Leyla Edwards, Mariah Spanic, Sunel Molina, Valeria Sparx, Venus Carangi, and Vicky Chavarria.
