New York Times Reports Higher 4Q Earnings, Revenue
The New York Times Co. said Thursday that net income tripled in the final three months of 2012, boosted by gains from the sale of some online properties. The company also benefited from growth in digital subscription revenue and higher prices for print editions. The company’s stock rose more than 3 percent as the results, released before the market opened, surpassed Wall Street’s expectations.

Facebook Deal to Buy Microsoft’s Atlas Coming As Soon As Next Week

The company is expected to announce a deal to sell it to Facebook as early as next week, according to multiple people familiar with the plans.The acquisition price is not known, but is expected to be less than $100 million, based on prior bids for Atlas, which have been in the $30 to $50 million range.

Top Brands Embrace Online Video Advertising – Top Three Spenders: Fox, P&G, Verizon
Fox, Procter & Gamble, and Verizon top the list of the nearly 2,500 companies that used Online Video advertising in 2012.
