If you’ve attended any marketing and communications conferences in the past year, you have seen that most of them are put on by marketing technology vendors. Even CMO.com is run by Adobe. As a result, these events are starting to feel like sales pitches and only discuss marketing strategy in the context of the host/vendor’s product.
We thought: we don’t want to hear about this product, we want to actually meet and sit down with the session leaders. We realized we weren’t the only people in the audience that felt that way. That’s when we got the idea for Binge Marketing.
We knew there had to be a better way for a small group of top-tier, marketing and communications folks to get together, talk strategy and actually walk away with insights, ideas and implementable tactics. This is an unmet need in our industry. Binge Marketing is designed to meet that need.
We are hosting this event with thought-leaders like Adele Cehrs, Cameron Craig, Charlene Li and Dorie Clark. We hate that CMOs have the shortest tenure in the executive suite and we think one of the reasons CMOs don’t last is they don’t have the support of their peers. It’s time for that to change.
