Draw Something: Popular App Coming to the Big Screen
Chances are you’ve seen or heard of the wildly-popular mobile game Draw Something. Well now, it’s heading to primetime.
CBS has reportedly won the rights to air a pilot of a game show centered around the drawing app. Created by Sony Pictures Television, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Embassy Row, the game show will include teams of celebs testing their drawing skills against the public, to be taped in front of a studio audience. To make it all the more interesting, cash prizes will be on the line. Viewers at home will also be given the chance to participate in the game show, set to launch in the beginning of 2013.
The collaboration between television and a mobile game seems a bit far-fetched, but if done correctly, this could very well be an entertaining and energetic primetime event. Would you tune in to see celebs battle it out on the drawing board?
