Publishing on Kindle to Get Marketing Leads – How-To Resources and Tips
I am a Kindle fan girl. Love the eBook medium, love the idea, love the whole thing. I have begun writing fiction short stories via Smartwoman Publishing (with pseudonyms and without) and will be adding some more business how-to as well. I am having a blast!
I especially love the marketing and social media potential of publishing on Kindle. If you’ve followed my tips on incorporating standard internet marketing technique into your social media, blogging, direct advertising, and website sales lead process, then you already have an idea of where I am going – Kindle publishing is just one more way to warm up your leads coming in.
Here’s the 411 in very basic and easy steps:
- Write a keyword rich, niche focused report, short story, or longer book providing big value to your target audience. Steer completely free of pitch and braggadocio and solve problems, educate, and share your best ideas. Keep it somewhat short, punchy, helpful. You can include affiliate links, offers, active hyperlinks to landing pages and more within your report (and you should).
- Publish on the Kindle Direct Publishing platform. Use the many marketing resources there, including the free promotion days, to drive traffic to your book and ultimately your landing page on your website.
- Promote via your social media, partners, and email house list
- Rinse and repeat.
Resources to get started:
These resources are ones I believe in, know the expertise of the creators, and/or have purchased myself. Full disclosure: the links below are affiliate links. If you have a philosophical problem with that, the URLs within the text will direct you to the products sans affiliate link.
Number One Book System by Ryan Deiss (click to visit salespage)
Slick, affordable system created by one of the most successful internet marketers around available at NumberOneBookSystem.com. Ryan is a fantastic marketer and really explains what he is doing well. In addition to well-done instructional videos and how-to, there is also a 3000 strong writer community that can assist you in getting your eBooks read and reviewed. Highly recommended. $197
Kindling by Geoff Shaw (click to visit salespage)
This product is, frankly, bu$%#t A$$#@ UGLY looking (sales letter and the formatting of the product presentation once you purchase), but the content is spectacular. Even though the sales letter feels a bit much, the product itself is very high quality with a lower price point. It is my personal favorite. Found at GeoffShawMarketing.com, you get all the how-to you need plus continual updates as Geoff continues to grow and build his fan base. I am a diehard fan and have used his techniques to get started. Triple star recommended, even with the ugly look. (Sorry, Geoff…) $77
Just the Beginning
I intend to run forward full speed ahead with this channel, not just for lead generation but also for sales. I love getting checks in the mail. As a fiction writer, I love the frictionless sales channel for my art. As a social media marketer, I like the idea of going into a marketplace where commerce is already primed and happening, and securing leads in the mood to buy. Sweet right?
So…list your Kindle title below to share or go buy one of these resources and get started. Could change your life…
Til next time!

p.s. You do NOT need a Kindle to read Kindle books. You can secure a Kindle app on your smartphone and/or laptop or desktop. FYI.
