Full-Time VP ABC Daytime Marketing

Reporting to the head of the ABC Entertainment Marketing department, the VP, ABC Daytime Marketing will be responsible for leading and overseeing the ABC Daytime Marketing Creative on multiple platforms. Responsibilities include overall creative development, as it relates to the overall marketing strategy, as well as leadership of the creative initiatives that drive the growth of the ABC Daytime brand and its related priorities. The work of this team must consistently deliver the highest quality content elements that meet strategic and brand goals while adhering to brand positioning and creative guidelines.
This ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing the creative expression, managing the on-air creative process and strategy of leading brands and/or businesses that resulted in clear business achievements for the related brand. He/she must demonstrate a proven track record in effectively managing a diverse team with the ability to motivate, manage and inspire. Passion and hard work are commonplace and embraced and supported throughout the department.
Supervise show positioning, creative strategy development and execution of all ABC Daytime on air creative elements and campaigns. Lead a highly skilled and innovative Creative Marketing team whose primary function is to conceptualize and produce creative content for all on and off-air marketing platforms. This includes topical/generic promos, sizzle clips, launch campaigns, original shoot scripts, image campaigns, stunt promotion, radio spots, digital/social content as well as any other tactics needed. Responsible for displaying leadership capabilities through developing, motivating and evaluating employees, as well as fostering a highly collaborative team-oriented environment. Work closely with internal partners to continually be a leader with innovative, creative marketing ideas that will extend the brand on all platforms and ensure that creative consistency across multiple platforms and business groups. Analytics- Provide results-based learning that addresses the effectiveness of campaign creative as well as develop and articulate revised strategies, based on these learnings. Budget Management- Plan, track and maintain the integrated On Air/Off Air budgets of the team, as it relates to the creative Collaborate with network media in allocating any and all content on various platforms.
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of overall experience in Entertainment Marketing 5+ years in leadership roles with emphasis on relationship management and business partnering Experience leading a team of creative marketing professionals in an OAP environment A proven marketing leader with exceptional track record developing marketing and brand strategies. Demonstrated ability to manage a budget Superior writing skills and an advanced sense of story telling Drives innovation and creativity at every level. Personally reflects the values of diversity. Collaborative management style and comfortable in navigating a highly matrixed organization. Ability to multi-task, creatively problem-solve and work well under pressure. Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high level results. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and marketing colleagues across the company.
Experience in the entertainment industry broadcast or cable television network, a movie trailer house or ad agency experience is a plus. Understanding of the Marketing and Creative process as well as pre-production, production and post-production. Knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Avid or other editing system Experience managing talent and coordinating promo shoots
Advanced degree with an emphasis on marketing, communications or business.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work experience
