<p>The Investor Relations Director is responsible for the creation and development of the investor relations function for a high growth company. The primary function of this position is to work with the senior leadership team to professionally and consistently communicate the company&rsquo;s financial position, strategy, growth opportunities and business initiatives to investors, stakeholders and employees. <li>Respond to investor inquiries/requests in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Research, track, manage and summarize earnings estimates, analyst reports and compilation of analyst financial models.</li>
<li>Monitor and track company, industry and market trends, and provide analyses and insights.</li>
<li>Develop peer analyses and competitive intelligence for senior management.</li>
<li>Design and create PowerPoint presentations for board, stakeholder and employee meetings.</li>
<li>Prepare communication releases for internal and external audiences.</li>

<h3>Skills/Requirements</h3>

<li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (preferably in business, finance or accounting) required.</li>

<p> Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but are not limited to)<br /> 1. Create, implement and evaluate research-driven communications strategy and public relations campaigns. Develop annual marketing plan, in collaboration with the Vice-President, Marketing &amp; Communications, to guide Destination DC&rsquo;s meetings and tourism marketing efforts. <br /> 2. Manage innovative consumer and corporate publicity for Washington, DC and Destination DC respectively. Collaborate with appropriate internal departments and external groups to secure trade and consumer coverage in traditional and nontraditional media outlets that further enhance the destination brand. Increase opportunities for coverage by implementing Destination DC&rsquo;s goals and strategies seamlessly into all communication platforms.<br /> 3. Develop strategic corporate communications plan to advance the prominence of the travel and tourism industry and Destination DC. Includes creating messaging and executive briefs, writing media plans, press releases, op-eds, speeches and talking points; as well as organizing press conferences/briefings, interviews and editorial meetings. Manage media training of CEO and appropriate executives. Promote cross-functional communications throughout organization. <br /> 4. Cultivate and manage relationships with traditional and non-traditional media to position Washington, DC as a premier destination for leisure travel, meetings and special events, and the organization as a leading expert on a wide range of issues relating to destination marketing and all types of travel. Serve as lead contact for local media on industry-related issues.<br /> 5. Develop media strategies and oversee staff to help achieve goals. Includes tactics such as proactive pitching, media missions, press trips, media visits, interviews and more. <br /> 6. Lead the program content development for the annual Marketing Outlook Meeting. Manage staff from various departments, development cohesive messaging for the program, garner media coverage and write remarks for the CEO for his/her annual address to Destination DC members and local hospitality industry stakeholders.<br /> 7. Attend meetings, events and media appearances as a member of senior staff team. Supervise team of two Media Relations Managers, Copy Editor and Web Content Specialist and Communications Intern. Set and monitor goals and budget items within marketing department. Lead staff efforts to take advantage of in-kind partner opportunities and strategic partnerships to minimize spend on media hosting opportunities, therefore extending the budget.<br /> 8. Manage, plan, write and/or edit creative content to further the brand and integrate marketing and advertising initiatives into content development including press releases, brochure copy, SEO-optimized web copy, newsletter copy, advertorial copy, social media postings, media pitching, and interview opportunities. Develop editorial calendars, draft and edit content for Destination DC&rsquo;s official tourism publications including: Official Visitors Guide, Destination Planning Guide and Unique Spaces Guide. Develop and implement a style guide for the organization.<br /> 9. Oversee, manage, write and/or edit content development for the new website. Develop an editorial calendar for creating web content and assign staff to write/edit. Work with the Digital Marketing team to integrate new content initiatives designed to better showcase Destination DC&rsquo;s work on behalf of the local hospitality industry.<br /> 10. Manage all aspects of annual media event in New York City from engaging Destination DC PR partners, managing the PR firm, creating the theme, selecting the venue, writing talking points and helping identify media to invite to the event and pitching media in attendance at the event.<br /> 11. Work with the Creative Director and Senior Manager Digital Marketing and Website Development to manage the redesign of eNewsletters to better incorporate Destination DC&rsquo;s brand and integrate with the new website. Work with the Creative Director and Production Manager to manage the design of the eNewsletters and the budget. Work with Digital Marketing Specialist and Copy Editor and Web Content Specialist to ensure each department&rsquo;s specific initiatives are reflected in the eNewsletters: Member, Meeting Planner, Tourism, Journalist, Consumer and Board Communiqu&eacute;. Write, edit and/or assign content development as needed. <br /> 12. Investigate new strategies and creative tactics in traditional and non-traditional outlets to reach appropriate consumer and trade audiences. Contribute to Destination DC&rsquo;s social media outreach efforts, crafting messages for Facebook and Twitter.<br /> 13. Build and maintain relationships with communications and public relations staff throughout the regional meetings and tourism industry. Collaborate with DC government and tourism-related agencies to create programs and coordinate messaging.<br /> 14. Create new media tracking strategies designed to better showcase the communications team&rsquo;s successes including incorporating media clippings in D3000, developing media-in-town reports and tracking annual media hosting numbers.<br /> 15. Manage special projects and other duties as assigned by Vice President, Marketing and Communications and President/CEO.</p>
<p> Experience, Competencies &amp; Education<br /> 1. Four-year degree from an academic institution in public relations, journalism, marketing or communications <br /> 2. Minimum 8 years experience in the public relations field <br /> 3. Knowledge of news and social media including print, electronic and digital outlets, and the ability to maintain personal contacts in each<br /> 4. Proven track record of placing stories with national media essential. Experience with broadcast media a plus<br /> 5. Capacity to work with minimal daily supervision is necessary, as is the ability to exercise strong independent judgment<br /> 6. Excellent oral and written skills <br /> 7. Practical experience in the hospitality industry a plus<br /> 8. Working knowledge of Cision (or similar media database), Powerpoint, Microsoft Suite</p>

<p>Summary</p>
<p>We are looking for a talented and creative individual to manage Pet360&rsquo;s social media marketing initiatives and to assist the Senior Manager of Social Media and PR with proactive media relations efforts. <p>Responsibilities</p>
