<p>Job Description:</p>
<p>We are seeking a Public Relations Specialist to join our National Programs team. This person will report to the Marketing &amp; Public Relations Director, and will assist with the management of Braille Institute&rsquo;s Public Relations and Marketing program with the goal of increasing organizational visibility, public engagement and client enrollment in our programs.</p>
<p>Primary responsibilities will include coordinating both regional and national PR campaigns and media outreach, maintaining the Cision media database, serving as a spokesperson for the organization as needed, assisting with the expansion of the Community Partnership program, as well as assisting with media buys and maintaining annual advertising calendar. This position also will be involved in coordinating the design, writing and editing of both internal and external publications, email blasts, Web copy, collateral materials and other communications tools, as well as assisting with the creation of an internal communications plan, coordinating the day-to-day management of all Braille Institute social media properties, and assisting with the creation of an updated social media plan that supports increased online growth and audience engagement. And other duties as assigned.</p>
<p>Job Requirements:</p>
<p>Effective communication skills required to interact with media representatives and the public on behalf of the organization. Strong analytical skills needed to compile and analyze data and metrics to measure advertising and marketing effectiveness. Ability to work with diverse audiences and an understanding of audience segmentation. Strong public speaking and presentation skills necessary to serve on a variety of internal and external task force groups representing Braille Institute in the community. Strong editorial skills necessary to plan, research and write press releases, articles and ad copy on Braille Institute services for a variety of print and e-communications vehicles. We are looking for a strategic thinker with the ability to contribute new ideas and energy to our team.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Hayden Homes Corporate Marketing Manager will play a key role in positioning our company to take the next leap in growth that comes with a recovering real estate market. This position will be primarily responsible for the development of long term strategies (including online marketing, public relations and e-mail communication) and the short-term implementation of those strategies in the market place for our 40+ communities throughout Oregon, Washington and Idaho.</p>
<p>This is primarily a project based position that will help focus our efforts in regards to a redesign of our website (www.hayden-homes.com), provide direction in the ever changing world of online marketing (from PPC campaign implementation to social media marketing and everything in between), help us to get up to speed on our database marketing efforts, provide clear guidance on our public relations outreach and response mechanisms, maintain and recommend improvements to our growing market research activities, organize and implement our customer loyalty and referral programs and provide direction and leadership to your direct reports on the corporate marketing team.</p>
<p><strong>Skills/Qualifications</strong></p>

<li>Demonstrated success in a corporate or brand marketing role</li>

<p> <strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></span></p>

<li>Develop timely, relevant, and high impact internal communications, including organizational announcements, intranet posts, presentations, policy and guidelines, and new initiatives</li>
<li>Write and design various internal communications, including copy and features for the intranet and corporate memoranda</li>

<li>Gathering assets, routing creative through necessary internal and external levels of approval, creating production timelines and managing client relationships, expectations and needs.</li>

<li>Maintain &amp; distribute internal sales materials (One-sheets) and logistical documents</li>
<li>Oversee post-marketing recaps, promotions status report and create compilation reels and dubs as requested.</li>
<li>Track and distribute to Integrated Marketing team new marketing requests. Maintain record of marketing request activity. Manage &amp; organize hard files for marketing requests.</li>
<li>Archive and maintain tape library &amp; circulate recent integrations for departmental review.</li>

<p><span id="Job Description" class="TEXT">Oversee and provide internal communications between Corporate, Buying Office and Supply Chain. Develop and manage messaging and content to associates. Incumbent will be the gatekeeper of Corporate communications through internal branding and announcements. Will handle general <br />Corporate communication in the areas including, but not limited to:</p>
<p>&bull; Coordinating information that will be sent through current channels such as Pleasanton Connection, BO Connection;<br />&bull; Coordinating with Stores Communication Team to ensure that key messages from Stores that are relevant to the rest of the organization is effectively communicated;<br />&bull; Counseling appropriate stakeholders on communications programs, strategies, events and their potential enterprise-wide applications;<br />&bull; Creating new ways to energize the associates and potential job candidates through our Ross and career web site;<br />&bull; Partnering with departments/functions, etc. to define communication and support needs<br />&bull; Designing presentations and other persuasive materials, both print and electronic, for internal audiences; <br />&bull; Producing relevant and understandable communications via print, broadcast, platform (in person) and intranet; <br />&bull; Building corporate internal brand reputation and also increase associate engagement, productivity and retention. <br />&bull; Develop content for executives/ leaders when they need to communicate with employees; Support recruiting/ onboarding and change management projects;<br />&bull; Measure communications effectiveness and recommend changes/ improvements as needed;<br />&bull; Provide counsel regarding what information should be presented to associates; the methods by which it should be delivered and the timing for the information&#8217;s release. <br />&bull; Support recommendations with research or experience; proactively offers advice when needed to improve internal communications and organizational climate.<br />&bull; Develop a strategic internal communications function and program that engages associates at all levels of the organization to support Ross Stores Inc.&rsquo;s organizational priorities. <br />&bull; Consistent with the internal communications plan, develops, edits and writes content for a variety of internal communications vehicles including e-mail, internal newsletters, associate forums, Intranet, etc..<br />&bull; Coach management and teams on the best ways to communicate information to associates; <br />&bull; Advocate on behalf of internal communications strategy to gain alignment and support for cohesive internal communications program. <br />&bull; Continually seek information on trends and techniques in internal communication from across the retail industry, as well as best practices from other industries. Evaluate which new ideas and technologies would be appropriate and successfully incorporates them into the internal communications program.<br />&bull; Determine whether internal communications initiatives are successful by developing measurement approaches and measuring the results of communication efforts (including surveys, focus groups, and other techniques determined to be appropriate). Use information gained through measurement to adjust communication plan, messages, delivery methods, etc. as needed.</p>

<p>Internal Communications:<br /> Responsible for gatekeeping all Corporate communications through a single point of contact and consistent format;<br /> Responsible for managing general Corporate communications including quarterly management meetings, events, and announcements;<br /> Creates, communicates and implements communications style guide, branding tone for all corporate communications. <br /> Works with Store Communications teams for Ross and dd&rsquo;s to ensure alignment with store brands.<br /> Works cross-functionally and with Leadership to determine new communications strategies, programs and formats;<br /> Craft and execute thoughtful, comprehensive communication plans focused on the end user;<br /> Coordinate on-site virtual events that connect associates. Example: Quarterly Management Meetings (Q Meetings);<br /> Support talent acquisition with engaging internal and external material that captures candidates and associates;<br /> Deliver content tailored for team members in a variety of work environments &ndash; Corporate Office, Buying Offices, Supply Chain and Stores;<br /> Develop and execute communication programs that enhance associate understanding/ engagement and to promote company culture;<br /> Periodically measure the value of communication delivery methods to ensure that processes are effective and cost efficient.
